Ordering PLANS
The minimum requirement
for all kit orders is that they be preceded by at least a set of structural drawings which have been engineered,
drawn and approved by Performance Building Systems, Inc.'s thin-shell structural specialists.
A registered engineer reviews all of our
plans. Our plans, instructions and helpful advice are based on 29 years experience and our thorough knowledge of
structural engineering. We will help with your custom floor plan or design through our professional engineering

| We will develop and refine your specified shell layout and floor plan including
connectors, atriums, cupolas, retaining wall/parapet, decks, doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, and stairs. |
| In addition to the finished model, you also get the dimensioned 2D floor plan views,
and a full proposal listing kit components required to build the home and cost for those kit components, cost for
engineered plans (75% of your investment in the 'Explorer' package will
be applied toward any Engineered Custom Plans), estimated concrete requirements
for the structure's footers, slabs, and shells, surface area of the structure's shells for getting bids on waterproofing
and insulation, and estimated shipping cost from our fabrication plant in Phoenix to your building site. |

| Select any of these 'Standard' plans (DiCaprio, Redford, Norton, Hanks, Brosnan,
etc.) from our plans library for $2,700. Plans can be mirrored at no additional cost. Price also includes the re-engineering
of Shell, Footer, and Front Wall to your building site's soil conditions and new Front Elevation(s) customized
and redrawn to your desires. |
| By 'standard' we mean that you intend to build from the plan sets as you receive them. It must be recognized that
if you want to make any changes to these, no matter how minor they may seem, these changes mean that the drawings
must also changed in order to print your plans in the form that is correct for your structure. Therefore, changes
shift the plans from standard to custom rates. |

| These plans cover only the Performance Building Systems, Inc. structural system
and are typically used when building hangers, wine storage, storm shelters and the like, which require no inside
design. These are billed at structural only prices, but do include full construction drawings for the structure. |

General Notes
1. These models and plans take into account any adjustments needed to be compatible with the shell's structural
systems or the Uniform Building Code. Any adjustments required are discussed with the customer prior to completion
to incorporate the customer's preferences.
2. All engineered plan sets sets include floor plans, front elevations, foundation plans, upper level framing plans
when required, stair details when required, sections through the structure, steel framing plans, roof framing when
required, and structural details. These drawings cover everything except the interior finish and detailing, plumbing
schematics, electrical schematics, and mechanical schematics. Due to individual preferences and local product availability,
plans do not include cabinet detailing, room finish schedules, or detailed material schedules. These later items
have not been required for construction drawing approval, but are needed for formal costing and appraisal.
3. Structural Only and Full Construction drawing require certification by Performance Building Systems, Inc.'s
registered professional engineer. If additional fees are required, Performance Building Systems, Inc. will notify
the customer before development is begun on the structural drawings.
4. Some states require a local engineer's certification and review in addition to that of Performance Building
Systems, Inc.'s registered engineer.
5. One-half of the total cost of any custom set of plans and engineering is due with the plan order. The balance
is due upon completion of the plans before they are shipped. All custom plans include four complete sets of plans.
6. Wood framed or earth sheltered entry options are available. Performance Building Systems, Inc. recommends the
use of earth sheltered options to improve performance and simplify construction. Let us know your preference. Performance
Building Systems, Inc. will assist with your design and recommend style and size of entries, atriums and tunnels
for your project.
7. Prices for engineered plans include 4 printed sets, two of which are stamped. Additional bid sets beyond the
four provided, if desired, can be ordered at $25/set at the time plans are ordered.
All plan sets are reviewed
and certified by a professional engineer.
